| How I Work
- A visit will be arranged to show you my portfolio, discuss your ideas, and the tiles you are hoping to use, I will also measure the space which is to accommodate the panel
- I will then design and draw a full scale coloured pencil sketch of the panel idea discussed
- The completed sketch will be brought back and hung in situ to check that it meets your aspirations and suits the space, any alterations to the design can be made at this stage
- A quotation will be given based on this finalised design and a delivery date agreed, this will depend on the complexity of the design
- I will collect the quantity of tiles I need for the design and return them carefully hand-painted with 'onglaze' colour
- I fire the tiles in my kiln to between 780 -820 degrees C, this results in a durable, quality finish able to be cleaned with regular (bleach free) cleaning products.
- The tiles will be delivered by the agreed date and numbered on the back to ensure correct installation by your Tiler
Pricing:
- All my work is individually designed to order
- The price will be finalised when the design is agreed
- I charge according to the time taken to design and hand-paint the panel
- As a guide, prices start at £15 per tile for a simple design
- The more complex the design the more the 'per tile' cost
- When the design and price are agreed a 50% deposit is payable
- The balance is paid on delivery of the painted tiles
- A postal/courier service may be possible in certain circumstances
- Postage and delivery will be charged at cost
- Travel is charged if the distance is beyond a 40mile radius from my studio in Reigate, Surrey
- A consultation charge of £50 is payable if the decision is made not to proceed beyond the sketch stage

General information
I can work on most ready glazed tiles and will test fire a sample of your tiles if necessary. You buy your whole kitchen/bathroom-full of tiles and I take the quantity I need for the panel and return them painted The base tile does not need to be costly so the total cost of the tiling, including painted panel, is usually very competitive. |
